Can I taste your food before we commit to you catering our event?
You sure can! We can organise a time that suits us both. Our tastings are done from our cafe in Emerald, The General Food Store and cost $30 per person. The tasting consists of
2 x Main Protein dishes and 3 x Side dishes. We don't offer tastings for our canapés.

Can I provide my own alcohol and/or bar?
Yes you can! We have a BYO package for this purpose exactly! If your venue provides a serviced bar option we are more than happy to work alongside the venue’s staff during your event. If you require us to operate the bar for you, please choose from one of our beer and wine packages which have been carefully put together to offer you the best value.

What if we have our own chairs and tables?
We’re more than happy to incorporate the chairs and tables you have if they function effectively for your event and we’ll adjust your quote accordingly. When it comes to serving ware (crockery, cutlery, glassware etc) we’ll only use our own products to ensure cleanliness and efficient pack down.

When do you require payment?
To secure your booking for your preferred date we require a 50% deposit of the total invoice upfront. Once we receive the deposit we will be able to confirm your requested event date. The deposit is fully refundable up until 60 days before your function, otherwise a portion of the deposit may be kept as a cancellation fee, this amount will depend on the size of the function and the amount of time put in by our team to organise your function. All functions cancelled with less than 7 days notice before the function date will forgo their deposit. The remaining 50% is due 7 days prior to your event. We accept direct deposits only.

Do you have a bushfire action plan?
As we operate within the beautiful Dandenong Ranges it is important to consider your action plan in case of bushfire. Please refer to the CFA website regarding restrictions over this period (for example open fires are a no-go during fire ban periods). Our event management team is happy to discuss this further with you. You may also like to consider wedding insurance to cover you for such an event.
If your event falls on a Severe, Extreme or Code Red day we may not be able to cater your function so as not to compromise the safety of our staff. In this case we would work closely with you to arrange an alternative date for your function.


Do we need a running sheet?
Yes you do! This document makes sure we know all the details of your event so we don’t have to hassle you on the day. We will work with you to ensure the day runs smoothly.

We love the sound of your food however we’ve had some ideas of our own…
Sure thing! Were you hoping to have a full vegetarian menu or do you have an auntie who farms her own free-range pigs? Let’s talk about how we can include these ideas into your event.

Can we collect our order and serve ourselves?
Sure, if you’re looking at ordering canapés or a buffet we can adapt the menu so it’s easy for you to serve to your guests. Upon pick up we’ll provide you with heating/serving instructions and sign the order over into your care. 

We like your place mats however we’d like something different.
No probs, let’s talk about what you’re after and we can quote a different option up for you as we have our own in-house graphic designer on hand!

Our event is in winter but we like the sound of the spring menu…
We really believe in using the ingredients that are plentiful at the time of your event as not only is it better for you and the planet it’s also better for your hip pocket. Embrace your event’s season!

Our event is in Woop Woop can you still cater our event?
Of course! I hear Kakadu is beautiful this time of the year!
We mainly service the Melbourne area but can travel where required, however, additional travel charges may apply.

Do you cater for different dietary requirements?
Yes we do! We pride ourselves on our ability to make delicious gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, fructose free and allergen friendly foods. Let’s chat about your guest’s requirements.

My event is on a public holiday.
If your event falls on a public holiday additional will be incurred to cover staff penalty rates.
